ADMISSION

Admission Requirements

Applications for admission to 100 B.Ed aided course are issued by Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai through single window system at the beginning of the academic year. For the 40 each B.Ed and M.Ed self financing seats, applications are issued at the college office 30 days prior to the beginning of the academic year.

Qualifications for B.Ed admission    

    Applications for admission are welcome from women candidates who have earned a Bachelor's degree or Post graduate degree from UGC recognized University or its equivalent. Only those who have secured more than or equal to 50% in Part III need apply. For SC/ST students pass in exam is enough.
Qualifications for M.Ed admission  

    Candidates who have obtained at least 50% in the B.Ed. Degree only are eligible for admission.

TYPE WRITING

    Candidates applying for B.Ed., or M.Ed., can join and do simultaneously typewriting thus earning two diplomas in one year  

NET Coaching

    Special NET coaching is available for M.Ed students

Applying Procedure

    Completed application for admission should be sent to the Principal, Annammal College of Education for Women, Tiruchendur Road, Thoothukkudi 628 003. Student admitted to the course would be notified by post sent under Certificate of Posting. Such student must confirm her admission by paying the prescribed fees within 7 days from date of notification failing which the admission will stand cancelled automatically.
            At the time of admission she should bring all her original certificates keeping adequate photo copies with herself. Originals once handed over to the college office will be returned only at the end of the course.
            Admitted students should attend college on the opening day itself.
