SUPW stands for "Socially Useful Productive Work". The teacher ought to be an innovative person who is not concerned with dumping the students with theoretical knowledge but should also organise activities which serve as a platform for developing all the talents of the students. The art of creating wealth from waste and other handworks are taught to the student teachers by trained professionals from outside. Cookery classes are also conducted as a part of the SUPW programme
